Could you say the scarf I linked is worth that much? 🤔
Don't think so but it is worth what somebody is willing to pay. We made scarves like that sometimes to finish up odd lengths of wool which were too small to use for garments. There was too much manual finishing needed in things like that to make it worthwhile. Probably more specialised machinery needed to make it viable. Perhaps I just did not have the nerve to charge a really high price but it depended on the kind of market we were selling to. We could never have got that price selling into what was basically a tourist type market.

I suppose the Dunhill name makes the price 'justifiable'. To be honest I only thought of cigarettes when I heard the name Dunhill.

After buying that cap/hat I was a bit apprehensive about wearing it. I said to the woman in the shop that I'd test it out first in a discreet setting, so I headed for the cemetery. I saw a few folk and said the usual 'hello'. They didn't seem to think it was unusual. I felt quite confident so I kept it on and headed towards a local supermarket. I wore it in there and no one said anything derogatory about it, thought they might've thought it. Anyway, that's another 'what will they make of it' barrier crossed. I now have my eye on this. 🤔

I must say, @Accy cyclist I admire your eye for a particular style. I couldn't wear it, but you carry it off very well :okay:
