My brakes sqeal something awful.

I was going to post in "know how" to get a fix but, like many aspect of Chitty, the sqealing brakes seem have appeared to serve a purpose.

I no longer need to consider an Air Zound, to annouince my arrival or displeasure with a fellow road sharer...as soon as I stamp on the brakes, everyone within 200 yards stops and looks.

Job done!

Oh, by the way, Chitty is still changing gear at all the right times...all by herself...she hasnt turned on me yet.

Jonny

Mine used to. Could be a failed bottom bracket or worn dérailleurs, or both. Or neither.

I use teflon lube on my chainset, it makes my back brake squeal when it drips onto the rim - I have to give it a good rub all round with a dry rag, that stops the squealing.

I use heavy wet lube on the fixed - it flings the stuff off but doesn't affect braking.....

Mavic SUP rims and shimano pads help though - no toe setting needed.

No you put it like that...MODERSTORS...HELP!!!

Kill this thread before it all gets messy!!

Actually, think yourself lucky I was going to post this morning about how annoying it is that my sweat tends to build up on the sponge liner of my cycle helmet and drips down my nose untill I squeeze it out,

was going to head it..."Emptying the sweat from your helmet"...but then thought better of it.
