That sounds interesting! Googling around it seems the SRAM Automatix won't be available for aftermarket sales until August ( http://www.bikerumor.com/2011/04/27/sram-2-speed-auto-shifting-rear-hub-gets-official/ ), so I assume that for the time being if you want a wheel you'll need to find and buy a whole bicycle which already comes with the hub.

I'll be sorely tempted to put one of those in my Dahon folder if the OLN is right for it. Thanks for the heads-up.

It's as 'New' as the s3x three-speed fixed hub AKA ASC.
Fichtel and Sachs made a 2 speed automatic hub way back.
I got one at a cyclejumble 3 years ago.
Nice to see them making a comeback.
