Hi all,

Well nothings simple I am trying to replace the grip shifts on my wifes bike (3 x 8 speed) as the mice were a bit pekish over the winter unfortunatly I am unable to upload photos yet as Im a newbie. The issue Im having is the actual grip is a long one which also has a cup at either end of the handle bar. All I can see on various online shops is the short stumpy type. Does anyone know what replaced the SRAM MRX plus the RD is a Shimano Alivio.

The mice have eaten your shifters... 😲
You can get new Grip Shifters off Amazon, simply remove the handlebar grips (there's usually a thin shim between the shifter & the grips as well)
Remove the cable, loosen the grub screw in the shifter body with a 3mm Allen key & slide it off the bars, replace with new using the reverse order!
