My daughter needs to access a secure learning site for homework... but we keep getting this error.
Same on two different laptops, IE and FF.
The website is https: so it looks like something... plugin/malware is interfering with the connection.

Any ideas what I can do?

Internet options > advanced > scroll down .... Make sure SSL 1.0,2.0 & 3.0 is ticked.
Then try again.
If no joy - try downloading google chrome and see if that works

That error is not client side, its generally a server side error, typically a badly configured SSL certificate on the Apache webserver.
I've checked the certificate and it seems to be installed correctly and valid..with all components, key, cert, ca cert.
Im also not getting an error when I test the site using 'curl'

Are you running the latest version of your browser configured to use all encryption standards as stated above?
