Coke.

I thought it would help, but in effect it was too gassy and gave me wind! Back to plain old water now.

I also used to take my brothers bike because it was better than mine.

I ate a fly once, it did nothing to enhance my cycling. I can't imagine what the fly got from the experience.
The only known remedy for this is to swallow a spider IIRC.

I take D Ribose before and after long rides and am on a thing called Co Enzyme Q10 (both due to a long standing muscle problem. Co enzyme helps with energy supply to muscles and D ribose aids recovery). Seems to keep me on top of things apart from the occasional bout of pain that leaves me grounded.
Other than that, the occasional strong lager on the way home from the pub!

My pre-ride preparation is a couple of pints of Discovery, and I keep a hipflask of whisky with me at all times.

I have been known to pick up my pace a bit when something like this goes past.

Problem was I ended up in Winchester when I was going to Reading!

A Red Bull at 90 miles into a 100er gets you home.

Here for rides.
Vast amounts of caffiene, the odd hit of day nurse, buttercup syrup, steroids from inhalers, glucosamine sulphate, cod liver oil, and multi-vitamin.

Oh, and porridge, vast streaming vats of it.
