I'm after a very cheap workstand but can't work out from stuff online what i want. You get these
http://corporate.marketworks.com/st...ed.aspx?sfid=101713&i=64150736&mpid=86&dfid=1
for less than £15- will these do for getting my back wheel off the ground so I can turn the pedals and fiddle with the gears? Or something like this
http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Main/sp-2-4631-28915-draper-work-stand-heavy-duty.asp ??
or

Anybody have anything similar? Thanks in advance

Decathlon do a decent one for £30 - those lifty up thing's aren't great, are OK for holding the bike upright, but one knock and it will be over - I have one....OK for taking piccy's though !

Thanks for that chaps- I might go for a mini version from Edinburgh cycles maybe- as for a turbo trainer there's no room to rhumba in my one bed flat!

The first link/stand is great as long as you are happy sitting crossed legged on the floor or kneeling. The LBS used one the other day when they fitted my new brake pads and it was perfect for that. I asked how much they cost and they said £35!!!

Husband has a Minoura workstand - one that grips the bike securely by the top tube. Very stable, leaves bike free for working on at just the right height so no awkward bending
