As for the huge sizes of drinks - it's all in aid of the obesity epidemic, not to mention raising stress levels via caffiene overdoses for that extra road rage occasion

Ah was just mentioning this to the OH yesterday...after ending up (somewhat reluctantly) in a filthy Starbucks (TCR one in London).
Almost all the chain coffee shops seem to be like fast food places...dirty!
Dirty tables, dirty floors, dirty mugs, dirty spoons (why give me a spoon if it clearly has brown stuff all over it!)...oh and out of this world filthy toilets!

There are many nicer places to go for a decent coffee...and if you can't find one...just wait 'till you get home.

I've just discovered that the local 'greasy spoon' near work does decent (better than Starbucks) coffees and is CLEAN!

Nothing wrong with McDonald's coffee if you're in a hurry.

And if you pitch up into one of their car parks you can often find half a dozen discarded cartons peel the stickers and get one for freeeeeeee
