Having just watched the last 3 (Episodes 1, 2 and 3) for the first time, I have to say they were utter and total tosh!!!! Even though Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (or as most of us like to call it, Star Wars) is a bit dated, it is still an immeasurably better film than any of the ones with Ewan McGregor in.

Still haven't watched Episode III yet.
I much prefer the original Star Wars (1977) film, plus Empire and Jedi.

If the story is good I'd love to see more movies.

The big benefits I see in the short term are:
a)George Lucas will stop tinkering with the blasted things and
b)We might finally get a blu-ray release of the original films, remastered but not otherwise mucked about with.

As a huge starwars fan, I think this is good news. There is so much of the story set after return of the Jedi that's never been screened. So long as they stay with the story it could be epic.

Discuss!

The second trilogy were demonstrably worse I was so ungripped™ by the first of the new lot that I managed to fall asleep in the cinema while the fixtures and fittings shook as they resonated with the pointlessly loud sound system.

It will be cheaper for me to slumber at home while attempting to watch the next lot of three on TV once they are released for TV viewing.

The post Christmas dinner 'dream time' slot 2016/7 would be ideal as I will not mourn the loss of time as it's booked out anyway.
