does having Sealskinz socks keep your feet warm but still get leakage into the shoes?

as my shoes dont dry in time for my journey home if rains in the morning. this is my main annoyance

am considering the Boot Liners, thanks Mcshroom

Stuff newspaper in your shoes innit.

+1 for tesco's own brand of waterproof socks.

Completely free of charge in fetching blue stripes, they leave them for you to take away just by the tills in case the heavens open whilst you're in there shopping

One size fits all, so no messing about trying them on

Only trouble is they aren't particularly wicking.

I just get wet, take spare socks to change into and have the joy of leaving a load of skanky wet cycling gear steaming gently on the radiator in the gents :becool:

I don't worry about getting wet as long as I'm warm.
I was thinking the same thing in the rain yesterday afternoon. I stopped off to chat with some friends and they all took the mick saying I was after a lift because it was raining - a strange thing to say as it was raining when I left home.

Anyway, I have no front guard on the bike I was using and didn't mind getting wet at all, until about 15 minutes from the end of the ride when wet became cold and wet. That wasn't so nice.

+1, although there have been times when I've left the wet gear outside for an hour or three, to drip out the worst of the

smell.

Green wellies and Altura over trousers. No probs with wet feet. Thermo socks so nice and warm.
 Priceless suggestion there, the perfect solution and probably the cheapest one offered.

I've found in the worst of it a pair of sealskinz with a hole cut for the cleats over my shoes and then my neoprene overshoes over the top of them. Dry feet - also brilliant on cold days as it's a very warm combination.
