Does the bike feel wrong to you? Thats always my first question when it comes to folk being told the bike they have is the wrong size.....

It did, hence the reason for the fitting in the first place!

Oh ok then. Just out of interest, how tall are you? inside leg? small/medium/large build?

Would only be getting rid of the frame and possibly the shifters/dérailleurs.

Just trying to find out if it's worth the bother really. Otherwise I'll donate/freecycle them.

You can freecycle it in this direction if you like... ;)

I'd be a bit suspect about someone saying it's too small.

You can change the stem for reach, get a longer seat post if needed, but 2cm..... ?

If the guy has measured you for a road position, then a cross bike will need a slightly different set up if doing cross.

Given that Hugh is a cross rider himself, I can be pretty sure he knows how to set up a cross bike. I can also be certain that the bike in question was not bought at the Tri Centre, it is my nearest LBS and I know which bikes they stock ...

They keep having to clean the window where my nose has been pressed against it looking at this ...
