Steep Hill - Cyclists Dismount

The old National Cyclists Union signs are nice. This sign is in North Rode, Cheshire.

This one is great, a dangerous hill.

Thus giving birth to the phrase:

"I had a descent to the Bridge of Brown this afternoon."

(I rode down there on a sunny July day, and it did seem a bit tasty!)

I had not heard of it. It was not a dangerous hill but it went on a while and I was trying for a new personal speed record
