It looks like of have unleashed the dogs of war on here :0)

I live out in the country and it is the first rat I have seen in 13 years. I've only seen 2 mice, but none of these in the workshop.

I have blocked .the gap under the door and it is on my Monday list and the rat trap is reset.

Baldrick: Well, you take the freshly shaved rat, and you marinade it

in a puddle for a while.



Blackadder: Hmm, for how long?



Baldrick: Until it's drowned. Then you stretch it out under a hot

light bulb, then you get within dashing distance of the

latrine, and then you scoff it right down.



Blackadder: So that's sauteing, and fricasseeing?



Baldrick: Exactly the same, just a slightly bigger rat.



Blackadder: Well, call me Old Mr. Un-adventurous but I think I'll give

it a miss this once.

I had a camera under the skirting...nothing.I do actually know when they've been about though.You don't need forensics for that.

We get them occasionally - poison is the way forward.

Had a corpse in the shed one winter. Can't say I noticed the smell, but I did enjoy it's death.

Finding shoot in your kids cereal will blunt your "animals are wonderful" instinct.

The corpse was a reminder to me that the Death of Rats had paid him a visit. That cheered me, somewhat. Little things took care of most of the corpse over time and I shovelled the unidentifiable remains in spring.

I figure it had picked up the poison from the kitchen or garage, it had only been nibbling Wiggle cardboard in the shed.

Get one of these: electromagnetic/ ultrasonic rat, mouse thingy from Amazon. They cost £13.99 . Just plug it in and your workshop will be rat and mice free. I have one in my cellar, it works View attachment 121358

I have some tiger repellent. It works brilliantly.

I'd prefer a tiny, but effective, shotgun.

I discarded all thoughts of humane mouse traps after discovering an awful lot of mouse poo in the toaster's crumb tray. After that, it was Total War.

I'm not sure I would attempt to fend off a tiger with a tiny shotgun, even though it might be a bit more "sporting".
