I've just found out Steve Priest died last week. Sad news!

They were probably my first favourite band back when I was young lad. Good musicians and as you say much underrated.

Some great tunes no doubt. Lady Starlight and of course Ballroom Blitz are two of my Sweet faves. However, Sweet FA tops it for me. Sweet FA only being let down by the crappy Peppermint Twist.

Sad news indeed, one of my all time favourite bands, I have every album they released and saw them live once in the 90’s. First tune I ever played live in a band was Fox on the Run. Great musos, the drummer Mick Tucker was a genius, listen if you can to their live version of The Man With the Golden Arm.

And their album Sweet Fanny Addams is brilliant, including Peppermint Twist.

They were Hayes lads, like me. Toured quite recently. I didn't see them.
