Well, the jury doubtless got to see & hear a lot more than we did, but from where I'm sitting he looked guilty as sin. 'Self defence'? Me arse, as my ol' granny used to say.

McGee, a Mancunian (? sp), obviously was a saint in it all and totally well behaved.

I can't claim to know what was said in court, I can't see what Gerrard did on that CCTV footage, I certainly don't defend any violent action, but come on people, were it not for the fact he is who he is, it would never even have got further than the two parties being chucked out of the bar.

I reckon McGee was chancing his arm, though he could make a few pennies and such, and has ended up waisting public funds and court time.

oh for sure, and I bet he gets stick every day of the week when someone thinks they are being "clever" in testing him out.

I won't defend the actions, but I feel jumping up and down shouting "thug" is daft.
I dont know the bloke, but he seems very much the family man and keeps himself to himself.

I once hit a lad at school, in my younger days, he was winding me up, wouldn't let it drop, got in my face so I ended it. I guess I am a thug too.

The CCTV coverage looked pretty bad to me. I don't think McGee was at all to blame. It's pretty unpleasant watching a gang beat up one bloke. We all make mistakes and I'm sure Stevie G is a nice bloke most the time, but his failure to come clean and make amends lowers my opinion of him.
