Hi there, when i'm changing gear it doesn't quite slip in. I stay in gear 2 all the time and just move through 1 to 7. Does anyone know how I can fix, many thanks.

Either replace your cables, or clean both the inner and outer wires thoroughly. Check the mechs are free running - i.e. lubed.

One thing worth checking is the point where your cables go round the BB. Couple of drops of oil on each at that point can make quite a big difference.

If the gears are relatively new then you just need to tweak the indexing to compensate for the cables stretching / outers bedding in over time. 1/4 of a turn of the barrel adjuster on the rear mech should do it.
If the gears are getting old then you probably need new cables. The old ones will be full of dirt and sticking. (Cleaning re-lubing your existing cables is worth a shot)
