Stiffer Light Bracket Required

I recently bought one of these lights, to replace an intermittently faulty Smart light (one of the older white ones; '2 watt LED')

Whilst it seems okay, I'd prefer a better mount than the supplied silicone band

This one is stated to fit; https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bi...pe/bikehut-out-front-combo-mount-684374.html?
At dinnertime, I nipped to the Wakefield branch to buy one

However, it's rather flexible, & I think I'll soon get annoyed by the constant movement/flickering

So.....
Does anyone know of a secure mount that the section with the thumbscrew will attach to, or a 2-piece mount - where there's a section permanently attached to the lamp, & it slides onto a bracket
I don't need a double-sided mount, as I don't use (& have no plans) to use a Garmin type gadget

Thanks in advance

You may want to look for an alloy go-pro mount - amazon or ebay.

As someone also mentioned, the Hope Universal mount is a great replacement if you want to use it directly on the bars, or indeed an alloy go-pro bar mount.

Certainly go alloy for out front with the weight of the light.

I think you'll still get movement magnified by it being on an extension. Less so on the bars.

Personally I like the silicon on bars mounting as you can nudge it up and down with your thumb as the terrain dictates.

The Hope mount (or anything similar you can find) screws directly to the underside of the light and clamps securely on the bars. This is what it looks like in place (the additional wire is for the remote control switch)

My C&B Seen 'City Slicker' all metal light (same size as the Halfords one) uses the Hope Mount - it holds my light fine off road on rocky descents (despite it saying not for off road). The mounts are well worth it.

Here is a Busch and Muller Ixon Space fitted to my commute bike. Unfortunately I had the same problem as the OP with the original bracket, anything other than silky smooth roads resulted in the light bouncing continuously. Disappointing for what is otherwise a great SVTZO compliant light.

The solution for me was again a Hope mount along with some bespoke plastic printing - solid as a rock now.
