Stinky cycle kit barred from residents

Can you not hand scrub them in a bowl and hang them out to dry ?
My commute panniers might not be as old but i just tend to use the water i use for washing my bike and give them a once over and rinse every so often.

I'm not saying it will work with anybody else's shoes, but Susie has a white pair that go (cleats and all) in to a pillowcase and then in to the machine for a 40 degree wash.

I emphasise that this is not about foot odour, but about perfect whiteness.
