From Clacks bridge you can take the NCR 76 which is a nice ride and brings you out at the road opposite the Kelpies....then the towpath to the Wheel...if you want a little 'off' road

Yeah that was the original suggestion to him, I was offering a more through the towns " experience "

Glnedevon road is ridiculously quiet for an a road, used it many times and the cars are usually patient as its quite an open road for them to see the roads clear to overtake.
