Hi everyone.
New to the forums.
Came here to see if maybe through time I could meet some cycling buddies around the Stirling/Clackmannanshire area.
I regularly combine my cycling with my art (acrylics and watercolours)...nothing like finding a good spot on the bike, painting for a few hours then either heading home or if it's further afield; getting a hotel for the night and a wee cosy drink at the bar and meeting new people!
I have been a cyclist most of my life and an avid hillwalker (I have been known to climb Ben Cleuch two or three times a day).
(I owned all mountain bikes as I like the 'trails' and finding strange places no-one has been before), but due to food allergies which suddenly came upon me the last few years (and almost finished me off), i ended up buying an electric bicycle (because i had zero energy at the time).
I'm hooked now! I missed cycling so much in my 4 years of really bad health, but the electric bike gave me back all that joy I had lost (and freedom) and more besides...Brilliant!
It's a little hopper, old granny special, but it does the job!
I'm getting a new bike soon and looking forward to it (a lightweight mountain ebike) and although my health has greatly improved I'm definitely getting another electric bike.
My bike is a necessity to me now, since I don't drive and I often go about 20-30 miles a day on it which is a bit unrealistic on a standard pushbike with my health not being 100%
I go everywhere on my bike...shopping, visits to friends, painting, hotels...everywhere!
Well, hope to chat to you all, and especially some local peeps who may have the same love of art and electric bicycles as myself!
Happy peddling! (Unless you use a throttle!).
BTW, could someone perhaps guide me in the right direction where I can chat about electric bicycles on here? Thank you.
