Stone chips grrrrrrr

Hi,
Travelling to work a rogue stone made a bid for freedom from a passing vehicle and wanted to become friends with my car.
It hit bonnet and then wanted it's deserts on my windscreen.
Thankfully the windscreen got away with it, but the bonnet was not so lucky.
I was left with a dirty big stone chip and a small dent.
I can only imagine old Peugeots from the early noughtys were made with body panels bordering the thickness of tin foil ending in it being dented so easily.
I was somewhat annoyed as the cars body work was flawless of imperfections and being a touch OCD my eye keeps drawing to the dented chipped bonnet.
Tonight I removed the sound deadening mating from behind the bonnet and attempted to gently push the dent out.
Without holding any great expectations I started pushing and massaging the dent with the handle of a screwdriver and slowly but surely it slowly popped back out.
It now looks perfect from the outside again and the next step is to get the chip touched up with some correct coloured paint that's been mixed for me at the local motor factors.
I'm just hoping my artistic skills of painting are as good as my dent removal skills 🤣

Not a lot can be done unfortunately. I've got a couple of touchup's from some motor factors. Being white, even giving the paint code, both touch ups are a slightly different colour, one whiter than the car, one creamier. It's a good enough match to hide little chips though.

I prefer potato chips, especially with salt and vinegar

Hi,
I managed to get some paint mixed to the colour code of the car.
Its in a pen sized bottle and came with a needle type nozzle so you apply very small amounts of paint to the chip.
I've given it about six thin applications over the last few days in the evening when it's been a little cooler.
Eventually the paint built up enough thickness over time to become slightly higher than the original paint.
I then got some rubbing compound and cut it back flush.
Quite pleased with the result considering what it looked like before
