STOP PRESS - most important day of the year

Not seen them in years. Other ariel wildlife took them out.

We get them in the area every year. They always nested on our cottage, but the building works put them off the last few years. So we've put a couple of artificial nests up to encourage them back now the external work is finished.

We had swallows or swifts nesting in the eaves of mr WD's workshop

We had swallows in our unfinished garage the year before last. They came back last year just as the doors were fitted. They looked very confused, and I was quite sad that we couldn't let them back in.

We did consider it, but we have open outbuildings and were hoping they'd move in there instead.

Should'nt you have cut the hole at the top of the door as they'd only use it when the door was shut, most commendable though

1st swallow just passsed over here too! (about 15 minutes ago). Don't think its one of 'ours' as it was heading north and didn't re-appear. 4 days earlier than last year.
