Storing and accessing a bike from the cellar.

All good ideas ! If you've got to do it, then wheels off might be the safest especially on steep stairs. Other option is use it as a turbo room !

Cellars can be damp and not a good place to store a bike.

Before fitting a pannier rack I used to get the bike up and down the stairs by rolling it upright on it's back wheel down the steps. Won't work with a mud guard though.

• Be photographed walking your bike down steep steps on a bridge, or...
• Get pally with a wealthy property developer and rubber-stamp his London gentrification project...

I may be moving to a new house that has a steep staircase into the cellar. I can enter with a slight bend, however I’m racking my brains in an effort to come with a plan to easily get my bikes in and out.
most grateful for any ideas

I use to keep my bike in the office cellar to get the bike in and out round the bend I had to lift the bike upright. I did have a fairly light road bike though.
