The roads were a sheet of ice during the last (forecast well in advance) icy spell, now they are gritting for the wind coming

Its not as bad here but after passing up on getting off the train early at 7:30ish and cycling the last 12miles due south due to freezing fog and ice (no wind), I'll be doing the same on Friday

I like a bit of wild weather, like a good storm. Hope I get out in it, but others have other plans for me

when I listen to the shipping forecast and they say south east iceland, violent storm 11 + severe icing - late night weather porn

Even here in the usually sheltered South East they are forecasting gusts of 84 at 2pm tomorrow.

No - Ice isn't slippy when its cold (-10c) just above freezing it's another story - slippery when wet

(ice below -10 will be a bit slippery, of course it is, but you would be fine to ride on it with a little care)
