Winds here in the North West are horrendous. I hope everyone is safe and well.

Our office is right next to the runway at Blackpool airport and we nearly lost the porch roof. Had to make some emergency repairs before leaving tonight. Be a miracle if it's still on in the morning. Needless to say I left the bike at work and managed to get a lift home. One fence panel in the back garden down so far.

A bit of pointing brole off the roof ridge just now. Bins blown over, but the house protects the garden due to the wind direction.

A big tree came down across our access road to our livery yard this afternoon. Fortunately it's owner was out there with a chainsaw when i got there as mine has walked.

Apparently part of my garden fence has blown over tonight, luckily I'm nice and cosy in a hotel in Edinburgh.

I saw a few cars and lorries in ditches on the A68 on the way up here, and some nice snow around Keilder.

Cheshire - the wind was strong very much like a regular gale but the gusts were really solid and threatening.

Crewe station had a fire and lost it's roof and had to be evacuated and there are trees down everywhere- we lost power for 3 hours.
