Straight vs drop bars

Here's one for the folk who've been talking physics this week:

Does a straight bar bike have an advantage over a drop bar bike in a tailwind?

The bar I drink at has an indoors bar, so it isn't an issue.

The bar - I don't think it would make the slightest difference.

The riding positions (sat upright with straight bar or tucked down with the drops) - definitely.

I got blown about a mile a couple of weeks ago on my straight barred road bike without the need to pedal once

Granted it was blowing a gale but we found ourselves sitting bolt upright to try and catch more air

Riding no-handed holding my jacket out at my sides worked really well but I wouldn't recommend it in traffic

no, but a bike with a sail will....

I don't think there's any advantage in a tail wind the rider just sits up on the hood or flats so the position is similar. The only difference is in a head wind where drops are superior

depends were the winds coming from , are being blown along or propelled, in which case the drops are just right.
