Strange goings ons in town today

Hi,
Today whilst walking through town i had my head down and saw the strangest thing ever. I noticed a small man hole cover literally vibrating on it hinge. It was jumping up and down by at least a few cms. I couldn't fathom out as to why it was doing this. There was no heavy traffic about to shake it or road works. Very strange indeed 🤔🤔

It was really strange. As you say it's most probably water pressure or something similar. I've never seen anything like this before though

Quite possibly water pressure,or more accurately air pressure caused by rapidly rising water levels below. It can be enough ti blow off manhole covers.

We're not too far away from Drago Acres in the next county. Fortunately our community had the foresight to retain the WW2 air raid sirens which are sounded about an hour after splashdown. Edinburgh seismologists have also learned to ignore its distinctive trace on their equipment.

Mr Blues is close enough that he can catch a whiff if the wind is in the wrong direction.

I just said that. Its Methane Drago's No 2 trying to escape. I did read an unsubstantiated report that one did escape and it took weeks to recapture it.
