Cheat bikes!

What, or who, is being cheated?

You? Gravity?

They may be cheating themselves of a good workout. Or they may be just using whatever means necessary to transport themselves. Busses do provide a great draft, though. I have cycle commuters draft my bus often on my route into where they work. One fellow rides a fine old Bob Jackson Tourer.

Across farm tracks they are...trust me
ok, maybe!
but then again you can't really say that a mountain bike is more fun than a road bike down a single track or over a jump etc as roadies were never meant to do that where as road bikes are
same as a carbon bianchi was never meant for farm tracks
Cheers Ed

There's a few videos on youtube of them doing unlikely speeds on the road. I think the fun bit comes from trolling cyclists and/or drivers.

I'm surprised by the 15mph cut-off. The only e-bike I see regularly is much quicker than that. Naughty!

Jannie and I have both had Electric bikes. We both have touring bikes, road bikes and Kickbikes. My commute is a 24 mile round trip and I ride it most days, rain, snow or shine. I often start work at 5 am. I decided that an Electric bike would be a commuter bike and Jannie decided to have one as well.

We used them for 4 years before passing them onto friends who are now enjoying them.

There is a general idea that they are only for the old and infirm but we had some great times with them. Its been good to get out for long rides without any effort or breaking a sweat. It has certainly made a change from the Kickbikes.

I'm not bothered by the obvious electric bikes, they are what they are. The one's that bother me are the normal road bikes with electrical assist in the bottom bracket. It's beginning to be a bit of an eyebrow raiser in competitive cycling.:gun:. Oh and the one's with modified drill motors, that have been known to hit 60 odd mph. Not clever on a cycle path.

Surely the BB assist ones make a whirring noise?
