Strange time stamp on my post

I posted my submission for the Wordle thread and instead of showing as posted "now" it showed "in 6 minutes".

What's that about?

I watched as it counted down to 4 minutes and then I refreshed the page and it changed to a more expected "2 minutes ago".

Anyone else get this?

Your device's internal clock was out of sync with the server's. These days we take it for granted that devices are time synchronised but it only happens because operating systems periodically query an internet time server and set their internal clock to the right time. Sometimes the service which queries the time can get errors or the time server itself or the connection to it can be down. So either the server was out of whack or your device was. If it was the server then it would probably have been noticed by others.
