Strangest Halloween thing I ever saw (not for the squeamish, seriously)

I put this in a new thread to give people the option NOT to read it, rather than posting it in one of the Halloween threads... although that being said I'll understand if Admin delete this thread!

I mentioned elsewhere on this forum that my band was booked to play the launch of an Arts Council funded performance festival in Ipswich last night. We were told the support act was a naked lass who painted herself blue and fired objects from her lady garden, but apparently that was due to happen at another venue, and the performance we saw was far stranger.

If anyone needs closure on how last night's show went, well the performer on before us wasn't painted blue and didn't fire things out of her chuff, but she was naked and by removing lillys that she had pierced through her skin all over her body, resulting in some not-inconsiderable blood loss. She also appeared to have openable wounds on her head that poured forth the claret with some generosity. There was a very large sheet of white silk lain on the floor (stapled to the floor at one end) that caught most of the blood, and as the finale of the performance she took the corners of the sheet and fed them through large holes in the skin around her hips and then lent forward to put the sheet, and her skin, under tension, which as you might already have guessed resulted in some bleeding.

To be honest I missed most of the performance as some of the audience took it upon themselves to watch from the stage, where all my band's gear was set up, and pint swilling / handmade / valve electronics to NOT mix, as our trumpet player found out at one of our shows when he dropped his bag of wine on his custom made FX pedal.

It was a bit horrific but I guess it was modern dance so it was in no way a freak show. We didn't use our dressing rooms (cos we're like that) so didn't get a chance to have a chat with the lass, but I did see a whole lot of yellow bio-hazard bags being taken in the direction of the dressing rooms.

Kudos needs to be given to the fella who was on first, who had a collection of hi-fi type speakers that had been tinkered with to emit a different tone according to the amount of light shone on them and their proximity to each other. Sounds odd, but was brilliant!
