Street Performers That Scare You.

I saw a mime artist in Bordeaux yesterday, white face, black costume type, there was nothing else for it, I had to dodge down a side street. They give me a totally unexplainable fear.

Although they don´t scare me (I´m hard, me ), there is something slightly sinister about them.

There are a number of them in the main pedestrian street in Oslo sprayed in either silver, gold, black, grey or white and they do look eerie!

Clowns!

My eleven-year-old son hates clowns and was terrified of them when he was small. I used to torment him I must admit. We'd get out of the car in a multi-story, not a soul in sight, and I'd just say 'clown'. He'd freeze to the spot as his eyes frantically searched every corner of the floor! Funny :0)

Just asked him if he still hates them and he said "Kind of. They aren't funny and they're creepy". Hard to argue with that.

There's a purple one riding a purple bike carrying a purple umbrella in York.

He's ok, it's the Patagonian Pan Pipers in their ponchos and wide brimmed hats that get me.

I can`t say that they scare me, but "living statues" appear particularly pointless.

Well, only the ones who whistle. I never trust people who whistle whilst they're working. To me it suggests they're trying to project an air of confidence, which suggests they don't know what they're doing.
