I've just been watching it. The replacement of wots-her-name with Alesia Dixon just baffles me. This is presumably a programme predominantly watched by females. Don't women object to having the older lady choreographer replaced with a younger prettier woman, but who is not even a professional dancer? She's the only female judge too. That other woman wasn't that much of a pain. I don't know. *shakes head*

Just seen this thread having posted on another re Alesha Dixon. Doesn't work does it? Bring back Arlene. If was the X factor with Simon Cowell he would admit the mistake and reinstate Arlene as he did with Louis Walsh.

How about a CC version of Strictly?

I'll dance with Kirstie or Arch (if they'll accept my invitation, of course!)

...."last night's didn't work" implies others have. It's not the dancing which I imagine is difficult and stressful to perform well, it's the smug arrogance....

I see from The Times that Chris Collins was a reserve with Charlton Athletic and a former first class cricketer. He could be a dark horse.

What did I say  Wish I'd put some money on him.

Good lord, I honestly think that's the first time I've ever been asked to dance.

I'd love to be Ginger Rogers. Sadly, I'm more Ginger Cake. Mind your toes.

I didn't see it last night (I heard the first half while I was cooking), but I'm glad Chris Hollins won, he's sweet. The question is, was it ever and is it still, going on between him and the Breakfast weather girl? There was a definite frisson for a while, but I'm not sure now...

Brilliant selective memory.

What you actually said was ...

Have to say I don't give much for Chris Collin's or Bellinda Bellingham's chances. Chris Collins is the sacrificial journalist. Bellinda Bellingham is your favourite auntie type figure who keeps being saved by the viewers while the judges get increasingly shrill.

... and you even got the name wrong.

SWMBO and & sat and enjoyed the final - good entertainment even if you're not a dance fan. Not to all tastes but what is? Made a change from Julia Bradbury.
