Much to the influence of my other half, this is the first series of Strictly I've watched. Although this sort of dancing "ain't my bag, man", I do find it entertaining.

One thing I have picked up on though is that stunning woman Tess Daly appears to be the same height as the contestants, some of whom are shorties, when she interviews them at the end their performance. For a lass who's 5'11" she's either stood in a well of some sort or in her bare feet.

Careful... Mrs Beanz and I plumped for doing a dancing course ourselves as a result of finding Strictly enjoyable - and it was fun!

just watched it on iplayer and you have to say the standard had slipped from the previous week. Gavin was devoured by nerves, Scott lost his bounce, and only Matt and Kara shone, the latter in very difficult circumstances.

Back to London next week, and familiar surroundings. Should be good.

I watch it mainly because the other half likes it. It would be much more enjoyable if they got rid of that silly bint Alisha and replaced her with - well almost anyone would be better.

Anne Widdicombe Titanic dance was very moving, not saying movingwhat though.

10 out of 10 for entertainment value though!

Loved the cry of "ICEBERG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It's all moot. Widdecome will somehow survive yet again and the whole sorry caravan rolls onto next week.

I think the comedy element in the choreography will get the audience voting for Widdy and Anton. I imagined beforehand that this might be the week where a more straightforward dance routine with no comedy might have been presented, which could have seen AW bottom with the viewers, but Anton's very clever in putting together entertaining stuff.

I thought tonight's program was generally lacklustre and the marking was somewhat bizarre. Giving 9 to the first couple's pretty tame dance left the judges with no-where else to go IMO. I missed Sssssssscott's dance, unfortunately I did not miss Ann or The Plank  . I'd like to see Ann or The Plank go this week but I fear the voting public might have other ideas and one of the better dances will go
