Jury's still out at the Beanz house about whether the change to the 'no danceoff' format has been a good idea. There's not as much tension in the new format. We now tend to record the Sunday show and just fast forward to the end to find out who is leaving.
Oh and Santa - if you're reading this - I wish Lilia Kopylova and Hayley Holt were still in the show as well, please.

I'm enjoying this series, particularly Matt, Scott and Pamela. Widdy is good entertainment. Can't bear pretty boy Gavin, hope he soon goes.

I'm not enjoying the new results show. Without the dance off it's just a wasted half-hour, I've started just switching on for the last 5 minutes.

Strictly has crept up on me - I caught Tom Chambers' winning routine for some reason, and loved it, and suddenly realised that i was missing some good dancing (I'm a bit of a Fred and Ginger fan), and then last year I sort of half watched it, and this year I'm properly 'hooked' - after the first show I was at a friend's house (She used to dance competitively), and found myself discussing favourites (personal, and likeliest to win), and viewer voting tactics....

Anyway, Matt Baker.... The week he had the stubble, I had to mop myself up off the floor.

And good on Anne Widdicombe, for not being afraid to look daft. And I bet it is doing her good, all that exercise. Might be a good thing, if people realise they could have fun and get exercise if they danced a bit. I reckon she'll stay in a fair time, because viewers will want to see what she does next, and how she comes back at the judges.

The results thing is fine by me - but then I've not been into it before. The thing that annoys me, as in all these shows is the "And the next couple to go through are......<insert half hour pause>.....".

I have to say that, apart from cycling, my main pastime is dancing. Ballroom, Latin and Modern Jive. It's a great workout, challenging on many levels, and very social. The numbers of people starting dance classes because of Strictly is huge.

If only there were a "Strictly Come Cycling" which was equally successful!

I think someone should suggest to Gavin that merely showing one's "six pack" does not make you a good dancer.

Matt did an excellent dance. Disappointed to only see half of Artem's physog.

Is [Sir- next year or possibly the year after] Bruce Forsyth still doing it? ...if so couldn't watch it, sorry!

But it does sound intriguing from the obvious affection people have for it on this thread.... once you start it clearly draws you in!

I don't think the Halloween theme did any of the dancers a favour yesterday. Sssssscottt and Mmmmmatt were great but would probably have been even better without the Halloween nonsense. No-one else really excited me (pro dancers' routine excepted ;) ), even when their feet were in the right place at, roughly, the right time.

Tina was as exciting as cold porridge, even in that ghastly pleather outfit. Jimi, Pamela and Felicity were OK. I don't think I was watching the same dance as the judges as I wouldn't have given Kara a 10 (mind you, the judge in question was Alisha which says it all). As for Patsy's jive, it was one of the slowest I've ever seen, lacking in energy and I thought her kicks and flicks were very soft - again, the judges were watching something else! Don't rate Michelle at all. Gavin improved slightly but is still dire and I'd like to see him go.

The Sunday night show is totally boring (the best thing is that NotDead Forsythe is not in it) and I usually just watch the last few minutes. Tonight I won't even do that as we are having family round for dinner, I'll probably have a look at Digital Spy for the spoiler.
