I was way out in the car the other day and a racing biker came from the other way i saw clearly he had
what appeared to be strip white bright lites down both front forks, when he had passed i looked in the mirrow
and could see he also had bright red lights down the back of his bike frame, my question is where can you
buy these they look really super i saw him coming a long off with the bright front ones and the reb back ones
really did show up well.

Anyone know if they are on ebay and if so an item number would be appreciated as not too good at
surfing for things.

can you give me an ebay item number for these please.
eBay number 251240673284 would work, although this isn't waterproof. this version is the waterproof one 201039832246 but not powered the same.

Only downside is you need 1 power source from each strip here. so you need two white (don't get warm white, that is more yellow that white) and two red. You can then zip time them to your frame.

If you buy the parts your self, then you can wire all four units up to one power source, perhaps 4x 18650 batteries in a holder. You can buy strip lights in various lengths from various places, depending on your frame size, you probably need 30cm for each section, so 1m white and 1m red. you can cut them down and wire either end.

There are two main types of LED Strip light, 5050 and 3528. the numbers are the dimensions of the LED, so the 5050 is the brightest and puts out just over 1,000 lumens per meter. the 3528 puts out around 250 lumens per meter. Note that these are just bare LEDs on the strip and the light is not directed in anyway. I am using 2x 30cm sections of 3528 and it is harsh on my eyes when I look down at the bike. the 5050 is more than likely overkill for the urban environment.

Hello and they sound a bit to technical to fit and wire up for me
Is there something simular that is just a simple lite strip i guess
Just the rear one would be ok for me i dont go out in the dark just
Thought maybe a strip maybe better than my single flasher.

Thanks for the reply. .

The ebay units I listed in my previous post are pre made. I would suggest going for the second one, as the lights are waterproof then (the battery pack doesn't look like it is) you just have to find a red version.

try 161209665235 or just search ebay for fibre flare. there are plenty of them. It might be worth looking at bike shops online because ebay isnt always the cheapest.
