Some have an internal sleeve that they pivot on, this needs knocking out cleaning and a drop of oil on it before refitting.

It's probably binding on the sleeve/ bushing.

Do you mean taking the whole thing apart to clean?
It shouldn't be necessary to dismantle. What I do is to give the the mech within the housing and the immediate area a good 'scrub' using a half inch paint brush with a good degreaser. Something like Gunk or it's equivalent from Wilco will do the trick. Let it dry and lube up again using a mini grease gun. :thumbsup:

Pop the noodle off and see if both arms return OK without the cable. You've potentially got too much friction in the cable if you haven't used the PTFE coated brake cable outers when replacing. Tyre catch is common.
