I have a mountain bike with STX RC changers and I want to replace the cables as the old ones are looking a bit ropey.

The selectors don't seem to allow the cable to be withdrawn externally. Do I need to remove the cover/lid on the selector and if so is it a straight forward job to replace the cable once the cover has been removed (or is it a case of bits flying everywhere).

derrick The Glue that binds us together.

No bit's should not fly every were but be a bit carfull taking cover of, if you search youtube it will probably help.

Thanks for the reply derrick. I think I made a mistake. I've now found that if I put it in the right gear a hole appears/lines up, that looks like the cable will draw through without taking it apart
