A friend of mine is looking for a bike. I recommended a touring bike, but he only took out £400 on the cycle2work scheme. Is there anything out there that would suit? I have seen Raleigh Royals for less online. But Halfords have to order them in, and I think they may have to buy though the manufacturer.

It's got Deore components and an aluminium frame with all the accessories he'll need.

Best of all it comes under budget. Not sure if Halfords can source it for you though. Might be worth ringing Decathlon and asking if they accept Halfords vouchers - some shops do.

Also Decathlon get excellent user feedback so they're good products.

I have a similar Decathlon bike with similar quality SRAM components that I bought in Orleans. It's a comfortable tourer and great value for money.
