Last week i walked into one of my local police stations armed with my helmet camera footage of a taxi that had cut me up badly and the following driving of said taxi driver was none too impressive either!

I reported the incident and was told to expect a call in a couple of days concerning the matter. A week went past and i heard nothing until last sunday! Today i visted the central police station and they viewed my video evidence and agreed very quickly it was driving without due care and attention.

They then asked if i wanted to make a formal statement should things end up looking like they might go to court, but i settled with them paying said taxi driver a visit!

I await the follow up call once they have visted him!

Overall the police down here were pretty open to the use of my helmet cam footage and i felt supported in my decision to report him. Seems very hit and miss which police station you go to, but im glad at this result!

Thats pretty cool. I hear a lot of people say stuff about crime or whatever, and when you ask them if they went to the police they just shrug their shoulders and go "..they wont care..."

You have completely wasted your time.

Police having a word will do sweet FA about the situation.

Taxi driver will just think police do nothing about such driving and carry on.

If you are not prepared to have such matters prosecuted, then don't waste your time complaining to all and sundry and going to the police.

Good point I suppose.If you get crap driving like that and you report it perhaps you should follow it through.
