Factor thirty has not stopped this from happening.
I use factor 50 and my stripes are coming along slowly.
Hubster is supposed to use factor 50 every single day, even when raining as he had a transplant in 08 and something about the skin not being able to deal with the UV and a way higher probability of melanoma than regular people. He rarely uses any, and even when he does, it's a bit of a squirt and not a proper covarage.
My Mother died of cancer. We are not sure which got her first, the skin cancer (she had several cancerous mole things removed - several = over 10) or the stomach cancer. Needless to say, I put a proper covering on. I'm rarely out for more than 3 hours, I do top it up in the day when I remember to take the stuff with me. Not always easy on a bike though. Maybe they should sell the stuff in sachets for cyclists, instead of big bottles.
Top tip: Buy the stuff for kids. It's a lot cheaper for the same stuff in a less 'grown up' container.
I got one of those ridiculously overpriced small tubes of sunscreen and although it's a bit of a faff to do so, refill it from the bigger, better-value bottles as that's much more convenient to take out on the bike.Needless to say, I put a proper covering on. If you use the liquid sunblock sprays, get some of those little travel pump sprays from the pharmacy intended for taking hair products in airplane cabin baggage. 3 for £1 or so.I got one of those ridiculously overpriced small tubes of sunscreen and although it's a bit of a faff to do so, refill it from the bigger, better-value bottles as that's much more convenient to take out on the bike.
Nah, they'd be yellow not brown.Or smoked (brown fingers white hands)
Aye, but what you save on sun protection you spend on rust protectionI live in Ayrshire.
I have a bottle of Coppertone that cost me 3 shillings and sixpence which was last used in the famous summer of '76.
Suntan in the shape of the oval gap in the mitt back? That's always worse for me than the fingertips :/I went to an engagement party yesterday. A significant number of people took one look at my hands and asked if I cycled.
You're supposed to wash off the manky oil after fixing a broken chain!I went to an engagement party yesterday. A significant number of people took one look at my hands and asked if I cycled.
