Well it’s sunny here, oh hang on it’s raining. No it’s sunny again also very windy, so I decided to give the club run a miss. So it will be a climbing day part my futile quest to try and get strong again. But not as futile as the later attempt not to come last in the village pub quiz.

Sunny and calm here, though that North wind doth blow and it shall bring... 1C overnight. The toms et al will get fleeced up. Otherwise pootle about, no pirate patch for the supermarket sweep, though might be a way of scaring stragglers oot ma road. More garden fettling to do.

Having the usual chilled Sunday morning. Scheduled outing with the hounds is on hold as junior mutt has a tender paw so letting letting him rest. Will do a few weights, fettle the bike for tomorrow and maybe watch some footy later. Coffee for now...

Definitely a good week to be in the Devon house... my French garden is getting a drenching right now, and looks like it'll get several more this week, unlike here. Yay.

Now just to decide how to make the most of today's splendid weather here and gloat a bit to the French fans...

Morning folks, feeling rather chilly here. Got up early by my standards and went for a short wobble, warmers were not enough.
afternoon of DIY beckons unfortunately, if all goes well i might do some bike fettling later.
Rode to the Italian Car Day at brooklands yesterday, some lovely things there. Had a warm headwind riding there and a cold headwind riding back 🙄 as a result I can tell you the weather turned at around 4pm yesterday in these parts.

This ^. One expends lots of energy when it's cold.
Stunning day but spent most of the ride either cold on one side of my body or cold on the other with the cross winds. For a short stretch, sun and wind on my back - felt great.
Can these cold Northerlies go away please? They have replaced the bitter Easterlies.

Forecast is to steadily get warmer this week at least.

Surely warm wind in Scotland is a rare phenomenon, apart from the morning after a big curry?

Forecast was for an unusually warm and sunny day. High cloud kiboshed the sunny prediction but it stayed mild most of the day.

Faffed with bikes in shed this morning, swapping tyres around on some MTB wheels for no particular reason. I *may* consider actually riding one of them at some point again; stranger things have happened. Also swapped out the saddle on the trainer bike in attempt to improve the comfort factor (marginally).

Lunch out, visit Mum, then a lazy walk late afternoon in ideal conditions.
