After the gate fitting trauma of yesterday I’m hoping to finish the pergola and get the lazy arsed dog out on her feet.
I’ve decided rides are a no-go as I need to sort the garden.

It was a glorious morning at 6 am now it’s dark, windy and gloomy. So I will finish my coffee, walk Bertie then a turbo session before heading to the pub quiz.

Woke up when everyone was asleep so went out for a couple of hours on 2 wheels.

Happened upon the Rust2Rome grand depart down at the seafront in S Queensferry. Remarked to one competitor that some of the cars were clearly worth more than GBP1000. Apparently, there's an exemption for cars over 20 years old, so now it's just another classic car rally.

Think I saw the best of the day and even then I got wet.

Evening all. Day out doing a gravel ride in the peak district and a few hundred others. Weather played its part and stayed dry, sadly yesterday's rain made a few places very iffy. Quite a few people came a cropper due to this including myself. Luckily a soft landing for me, sadly it was a bed of nettles. Still fell it now.

that's too thick for me, though i have it on my old commute bike

original microtex was best, the new version is ok but seems to wear faster and isn't as stretchy, also has the annoying logo print along one edge, fortunately it can be hidden if wrapped the right way around

tape survived the first ride without finding any lumpy bits, just need to decide whether to clean the hoods or replace them
