Need help on a route here!
Thinking of taking the Number 1 to just after Boston,
then take the 12 to Spalding, Peterborough,
then the Number 12 towards Huntingdon then
Number 51 to Cambridge then
Number 11 to Stanstead then finally
Number 16 to Baintree.

Right aiming to do 140 miles a day.
Need advice on
1. What you think the total mileage will be
2. Suitable places to stay
3. The route I'm thinking on taking.

Cheers
Gary

Forgive the ignorance but are those bus numbers or some kind of route numbers?

You can get the mileage from map24.com or the AA website.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
You are a nutter, aren't you?

Use bikehike.co.uk to map the Sustrans routes. You'll probably find they're a lot longer than you think, because they are very scenic. 140 miles a day is hard going for anyone, and on Sustrans routes it's very optimistic. Your flashy skinny-tyred carbon-bling road bike that might enable you to do 140 miles over smooth tarmac will struggle to keep a decent pace over rougher surfaces.

Thanks for the advice mate!
I'm comfortable with 140miles a day as I've managed the C2C in a day!
