I will go to a few Broncos games even though I don't follow them, reasons are, 1) tickets cheap as!!! 2) top class rugby for pennies. 3) did I mention tickets cheap as!
ha ha, yes they have really made the effort to get people in, hope they get the crowds, signed a few more players not not sure they will win many, i hope they prove me wrong
I fancy watching salford, he has really put some money into the club, i hope they do well also

I voted "other" since Huddersfield weren't on the list.

Can't understand the play off shenanigans in Super League. Probably another way of generating more money.
IMO Huddersfield won fair and square last season, why? Because they were top of the table at the end of the season.

Fancy them to do it again this season.

Your spot on, on all accounts.

Hudds on the league shield, which didnt even exist when the play offs began. It is a copy of the Australian NRL competition which is very very strong. It started I believe because not all teams could travel to play each other twice, as all teams didnt play each other a play off was a fair ay of making sure the best team on. That as some time ago and no all teams play twice but the 'play offs' are so popular and make so much money everyone wanted them to stay, and some years later e copied for the same reasons. They are a real success, bringing in money, making the competition competitive throughout the season as teams jockey for a play off position.

I missed Hudds off the list - silly me, have to use other in that case, thanks for voting

It's all about the money now! Can't blame a man for wanting to build a retirement fund, but the cost to the game in terms of losing world class home grown league players is catastrophic. I used to play for Leigh In the mid 90s when SL was born and within 12 months, several home grown players, inc. myself were told we were surplus to requirements as they had bought in lads from Australia and NZ. I played a few games back in the amateur ranks but it wasn't the same. That was the last I ever played the game. So I can see why he has crossed over for the money as you never know when the end is. Sad day for SL.

the only winners are sky who earn a mint out of showing one or two games out of 6 every weekend and rake it in from advertising etc.
the sky coverage of the super league is criminal imo they should show every game, it's not like they have anything else interesting to show as there's no cycling on their channels and the rest is cricket or golf.

also the sooner stevo and eddie bugger off the better, never heard so much pap spouted by two people in all me life.
at least premier sports show ALL the ozzie matches.

the hull fc catalan game was a good one, was bloody painful to watch warrington, i'm really questioning what the hell we've been doing in the off season when st helens open with possibly the worst ball handling in the rook i've seen in a long time in super league and a free for all on penalties. good defence from saints mind but then warrington had about as much get up and go as a salted slug.
tis going to be a LONG season.
loved widnes tearing bronco's a new one on sunday too.

I finished at 21 just before SL began, i played reserve grade for 4 years at various clubs and there was a lot of imports back then too, but we were still bringing in RU players back then! OH how times have changed, i think RL clubs would have matched his Bath wages had they been allowed to, the cap is losing all our best players, but the risk to the game is too great to risk it

i dont know the answer but its tough to keep losing these players

I go to a handful of games a year (can't watch union) but am boycotting it this year, and will be until the Bradford Bulls are run by normal and sensible people. Enough is enough. :cursing:

There will come a point were the RL directors will say we can't afford to keep losing world class players to RU and will reconsider the cap. Catch 22 though as there is a danger of having super super league teams that have a wealth of money and the rest mediocre in comparison. In turn makes games boring. Bring back the biff I say!! Makes a boring game exciting. Bit like the Widnes, Warrington and saints games of the late 80s
