Rarely, simply not needed.

Kind of agree with Rob3rt. Most of us on here are not cycling at such a level that we should need any. The only reason I quite like the High 5 zero tabs is to give some flavour as I am not keen on plain water, especially out of a plastic bottle.

Hmm 3 brands chosen specifically

No explanation of what products in particular (before/during/after)

No None option

First thread of it's type in 2014 though

Jelly babies - but must be Haribo - their mix of sugars and minerals is just right (plus no caster sugar to mark my pockets).

I quite like energy gels when out for 50+miles. I don't think there neccessary, just convienient to consume on the move. I rarley put anything in my water. A huge fan of choclate milkshake as a recovery drink.

Put me down for none/other on the poll

SIS Electrolyte drink for me, just tastes nice aswell as doing it’s job.

Before a ride on a morning tend to have poached egg on toast with a black coffee then I’ll take a gel with me but seem to cope without if theres a coffee stop incorporated. Get back and it’s a peanut butter sarni for me.
