There are still some supplies of Michelin Krylion Carbon (now superceded by Michelin Pro4 Endurance) in online stores, light and generally puncture resistant, comparable with continental gatorskins. I have a pair of Michelin Dynamic sport that came fitted on a bike that I bought, I replaced them straight away, never used them.

I think its a case of what sort of commute you have, i shredded a pair of luganos within 2 weeks and binned them after a flat a day 5 days running.

More than likely due to incorrect psi than the tyre. Never had a p* in around 700 miles with these. Can't comment on the rate of wear as yet due to the low milage one them. No shredding at all on either tyre.

Nope i ran the correct pressures, it was the glass strewn cycle path i have to use as part of my commute .

Same here, and yes pressures all set ok.

Little bits of flint in the local lanes destroyed them in under 6 months and so many p*********s it was untrue.

Just fitted a set of Vit Pros to see if these are any better.

I'm on pretty good country lanes for my commute so hopefully should be ok...they're wearing well and had no problems (yet!!!)

You can't comment on durability of a tyre based on 700 miles. I have just put the first 1200 miles on Vittoria Open Corsas which are a racing lightweight tyre. No punctures, they look like new. Doesn't make them a great commuting tyre.

They are a great tyre though :becool:

@OP - the traditional puncture resistant tyres (marathon +, durano + etc) are well liked by many, but I have a different perspective. I hate changing all these puncture resistant tyres. It's really hard work. Lightweight tyres are so much easier to change, I'd rather enjoy the speed and nimbleness of high performance rubber, and when I do puncture (admittedly more frequently) it takes half the time to fix, and none of the cursing.

And indeed I didn't jackass

My exact words were I can't comment on durability/rate of wear. I then went on to mention there was no shredding as a previous post mentioned in a matter of weeks his were shredded.:confused:
