And indeed I didn't jackass

My exact words were I can't comment on durability/rate of wear. I then went on to mention there was no shredding as a previous post mentioned in a matter of weeks his were shredded.:confused:

Did you just call me a jackass? ^_^ Turrets?

You said there's nothing wrong with those tyres because you have had no punctures in 700 miles. Or if that's not what you meant, then I wonder why bring it up at all?

You do realise being resistant to punctures and the durability (lastingness) of a tyre or two different things yeah?

Oh no your right. That's why the tyre manufactures advertise their tyres as durability protection and not puncture protection.

By the way that is sarcasm. I thought I would type this as when I called you a jackass you had to ask if I did. Even though it was in black and white. So you do not have a chance at understanding the tone of subliminal text.

My Raleigh Airlite came with a set of Lugano's and I ran all winter with them. They've had a couple of punctures only and the front's fine. The rear could still be used but I've changed it for another Lugano this month.

Had some Lugano's which came with CAAD9. Had no problems until recently (approx 1500 miles), where the rear tyre has a few holes in and I kept getting punctures (none previously). Front doesn't look too bad considering, however I changed them both for Conti 4season.

Same bike and broadly the same experience, although IIRC I had done about 4k miles on them before they started to become puncture prone.

I think there's a bundle of different "Lugano" types. The cheap ones are about a tenner and this is what I had.

I bought some again recently (essentially cost me a tenner for 2 tyres) as they are good enough at that price.

Same (supplied on the same bike, CAAD9), other than a puncture on my way home after buying the bike (bad luck) they didn't puncture again in thousands of miles and offered superior performance to more expensive tyres. I use the worn Lugano's on my turbo, 4 months of use (about 6-8 hours a week) on the current one and it is still good for more!

I'd avoid Michelin Dynamics.
How they manage to put that piece of sh1t out under the same brand as the excellent Krylion and Pro3 / Pro4 range is beyond comprehension.

I like Lugano tyres, my bike has a pair on now. I put the current set on before the winter, and I have been using them since before February 2012.

The rear is showing some wear after a few hundred miles but has plenty left in it.

I had one which developed splits after 6 months and it was replaced FOC no trouble. Service like that is good. Overall I don't find them especially puncture-prone as long as you check them for bits of glass from time to time. The glass can slowly work its way through if you don't keep an eye out.
