I ride with shimano spd sl on my road bike which i had fitted as part of a bike fit.
I'm starting to ride more track and have to use look keo pedals that are on the hire bike.

How does positioning of the two compare, i know the shimano cleat is bigger but i am wondering if i was to draw around my shimano cleat and them match the nose position with the keo cleat would it be in roughly the correct place?

I would suggest marking around your current cleat position entirely and also making marks along where the axle is on your pedal in comparison to the current cleat. Then as a starting position try and replicate this as closely as possible with the new cleat.
