I got nasty sting today on the bike on my arm...didn't see what it was but it felt like a heavy insect as I swiped it away...feels like a bee sting...big red pulsating lump...

will I live?
can I blame car drivers for this too?

Anecdote alert: the prat what taught us natural history and stuff at secondary modern (one 'sniffer" Harris) told us that a bee has a 'screw in' sting and if you had the patience it would screw itself back out again leaving only a prick, whereas if you swatted it away the the sting would remain and hurt a lot. There is a prick in this information, see if you can spot him.
