T boned on way to work

Morning Peeps,
Just asking for some advice please. I was T boned this morning, not over the bonnet but very close to it and it wiped me out landing me on the pavement about 20 feet away still attached to the bike. Bike is scratched up and back wheel needs truing and need to get the bike checked out. I have a witness, they called the ambulance and then the police who took a statement from me and said they would call back. The driver admitted liability to me at the scene on numerous occasions, not sure if he did to the police though.

Should I be speaking to a legal team? I took a picture of the front of the car with a nice mark of my pedal down it.

Always speak to a legal bod. I would have taken a photo of the driver as well.

Glad you are OK. If the driver is decent and does what he should then good, if not then get a legal team to take him to the cleaners. Take legal advice anyway whichever way you decide.

Do it by the book. No need to be vindictive and don't get greedy but IME if you rely on goodwill and common decency you stand to be sorely disappointed.

your not takeing him to the cleaners your claiming from his insurance thats what its for, and use some profesional to do it thats what there for, simples

I was at the top of Stonegate Road at the top of the hill, the car pulled out of Stonegate Lane Here The car pulled out of the left road, I moved into a strong secondary with the car moving to the junction, good job as I would have been over the bonnet.

That's good news. Let's hope he keeps his word. My earlier comment about taking him to the cleaners was only in case he started giving you the runaround. If he is doing the decent thing, which is how it seems, then I would consider repair and reasonable costs enough.

Don't make any rash decisions about accepting compensation from the driver.
Your bike may be more damaged than you realise and so might you.
